UPDATE: A Message from the Congress Organisers Regarding the International Congress and COVID-19

MSWashingtonDC2020 goes virtual

Posted: May 19, 2020

Dear Colleagues:

Given the worldwide impact of COVID-19 and with the health and safety of our attendees in mind, the ACTRIMS Executive Committee and the Congress Planning Committee have decided to cancel the in-person attendance and activities of MSWashingtonDC2020 in Washington, DC and bring the meeting to you in a virtual format – MSVirtual2020. We remain committed to presenting a comprehensive educational program and cutting-edge science, even if a face-to-face meeting is not possible.

MSVirtual2020 will include plenary sessions, invited speakers and platform presentations of abstracts, poster presentations, teaching courses, and industry supported satellite symposia, both scheduled and on-demand, with a virtual exhibition and networking opportunities integrated throughout.

The transition to a virtual format is a work in progress, and we recognize that you may have questions regarding your participation. Please see our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for more information on format, timeline, registration, and other details, which will be updated regularly as plans evolve.

If you have already registered for MSWashingtonDC2020, you will automatically be transferred to MSVirtual2020 and receive a reimbursement based on the lower registration fee. Anyone wishing to cancel their registration and receive a full refund should contact registration@msvirtual2020.org.

MS research and education are more important now than ever. While we are all more familiar with in-person meetings to learn and network with our colleagues, we plan to provide an engaging and dynamic virtual program that showcases the latest MS research, provides varied learning opportunities, and allows for interaction with presenters and between participants over a similar timeframe in September.

Thank you for your continued participation and understanding as we navigate this rapidly changing situation together.

Please stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey A. Cohen, MD
ACTRIMS President
