World Neurology Jan Feb26

The first issue of World Neurology for 2026 marks the beginning of a new presidential tenure at the World Federation of Neurology (WFN), offering both a welcome to readers worldwide and an introduction to the organisation’s mission and global reach.

Outlined in this issue, the WFN advances its goals through education, advocacy, publications, and specialty collaborations. Its educational efforts range from accredited training centres and department visits to international conferences, eLearning initiatives, and the distribution of key resources to low- and middle-income countries. The federation also works closely with global partners, including the World Health Organization and the U.N. Economic and Social Council, while leading high-profile initiatives such as World Brain Day. Alongside its official journals — including the Journal of the Neurological Sciences and eNeurological Sciences — the WFN continues to champion brain health as a central pillar of its work, signalling an ambitious and globally focused direction for the year ahead.
