At WCN 2025 in Seoul, global leaders, rising researchers, and the next generation of leaders in neurology came together to share insights, inspiration, and hope for the future. In a highlight session, Prof. Tissa Wijeratne, WFN Trustee, spoke with WFN President Prof. Dr Wolfgang Grisold and two inspiring young researchers from Indonesia:
- Nathania Nathania —2nd-year medical student, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR)
- Adinda Aisya Kamila—5th-year student, Universitas Indonesia
Prof. Grisold celebrated the energy of the next generation, calling it “a truly global movement in neurology.”
Reflecting on her experience, Nathania described it as “a dream turned real,” while Adinda, who presented her research on chronic migraine treatments, emphasised that “age or geography does not limit impact.”
As we look forward to WCN 2027 in Cape Town, the message is loud and clear: the future of neurology depends on more young voices, fresh ideas, and opportunities for emerging leaders.
