Bruce Campbell (Australia)

ADVANCES IN INTRAVENOUS THROMBOLYSIS (INCLUDING TNK, LYSIS >4.5H, MSU, ADJUVANT LYTICS)
Sonia Alamowitch (France)

DEVELOPING CYTOPROTECTION THERAPY IN THE REPERFUSION ERA

A set of 3 sessions covering the cutting-edge advances in ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage and secondary stroke prevention. In ischemic stroke, multiple trials have advanced understanding of the role of thrombolytics prior to thrombectomy, tenecteplase versus alteplase and basilar artery thrombectomy. The range of intensive medical management and interventions for stroke prevention has greatly advanced in recent years. Intracerebral hemorrhage remains a challenging area for specific treatments but management of antithrombotics after hemorrhage has been explored in recent trials.
