  • Giuseppe Sancesario is Director of the Laboratory of Experimental Neuropathology, Department of Systems Medicine, Tor Vergata University of Rome;
  • Professor of Neurology in the School of Sports & Motor Science;
  • Senior consultant at Alzheimer’Center of Santa Lucia Foundation;
  • He has been:
    • Past Director of the Memory Center of Tor Vergata General Hospital;
    • Past Director of the School of Neurology, Tor Vergata University of Rome;
    • Past president of the Italian Association of Neuropathology;
    • Past Director of the master in "Alzheimer's Disease and other Dementia".

He organized several national congress and workshops.

Research Interests

  • Experimental neuropathology;
  • Nitric Oxide in the basal ganglia;
  • Phosphodiesterases and cyclic nucleotides in Extrapyramidal disorders;
  • Physiopathology of L-DOPA dyskinesia;
  • Biological markers in Alzheimer disease and other dementia.
