[WCN23_Scientific Session]

Update on Acquired and Hereditary Demyelinating Neuropathies

TREATMENT STATUS OF CIDP
Mingsheng Liu (China)

CMT WITH SLOW CONDUCTION VELOCITIES- BEYOND DEMYELINATION
Mary M. M Reilly (United Kingdom)

NODO-PARANODOPATHIES
Simon Rinaldi (United Kingdom)

This session will provide an update on the demyelinating neuropathies. The first talk will give an up-to-date review of treatments for CIDP with a particular focus on the treatment status in China. The second talk will focus on CMT and review the place of the classification of CMT into CMT1 and 2 in view of the many new genes with slow conduction but without demyelination. It will also highlight differentiating CMT from CIDP. The final talk will be on nodo-paranodopathies. The recently published 2022 CIDP guidelines separates the nodo-paranodopathies from CIDP. The spectrum, clinical phenotypes, and treatment options for these differ from CIDP and are important for neurologists to be aware of.
