The World Federation of Neurology (WFN) and the Department of Neurology of Mohamed V University, Rabat, Morocco are delighted to announce a one-year Visiting Fellow Program on Electromyography and Neuromuscular Diseases for African Neurologists.
The International Congress for Neuromuscular Disease (ICNMD) congress which took place in Toronto, Canada in 2016 was organised by the WFN research group on neuromuscular diseases (http://icnmd2016.org/). The proceeds from this congress have been used to sponsor a one-year fellowship in electrophysiology in the teaching centre in Rabat. This will be the second fellowship available in addition to the general fellowship offered by the WFN Teaching centre in Rabat.
The next congress of the ICNMD will be in 2018 in Vienna, Austria, (www.icnmd2018.org) and the visiting fellow will be invited to the congress.
Mohamed V University would like to support the African Initiative of the WFN by inviting an African colleague to participate in a one-year training course on Electromyography and Neuromuscular diseases. The purpose is to experience the modern Moroccan medical system in an international environment, meet new colleagues, and foster future cooperation.
The training course in Electromyography and Muscles diseases at the Department of Neurology, Mohamed V University will include Electromyography, Neuropathies, Muscle Diseases and neuromuscular disorders. Teaching will be conducted in French.
The visit will take place for one academic year from September 2017 to August 2018.
