The first Neuroinfection series of webinars was organised by the Tropical and Geographical Neurology Specialty Group (TGNSG) of World Federation of Neurology in collaboration with the Forum for Indian Neurology Education (FINE) and under the aegis of World Federation of Neurology. It was dedicated to the late Professor Jagjit Singh Chopra, former Head of Department of Neurology at PGIMER Chandigarh, India, author of 'Neurology in Tropics', first Indian neurologist to be selected as the secretary general of XIV World Congress of Neurology, held at New Delhi in 1989, Editor-in-Chief of World Neurology from 1999-2009, and recipient of the WFN lifetime achievement award in 2017.
Following the success of the webinars, the WFN TGNSG hosted Series 2 of the popular series in September 2020.
In February 2021, the WFN together with the India Academy of Neurology (IAN) continued its webinar with the series " Inspiring people in Neurosciences".
