2nd Asia Pacific Neuro-Oncology Course

1 Aug 2022 to 5 Aug 2022

Neuro-oncology is a rapidly evolving multi-disciplinary field, which involves the medical, surgical and radiation management of adult and pediatric patients with primary and metastatic brain and spinal cord cancers. In addition, modern molecular neuropathology and neuroradiology concepts are essential for accurate diagnosis and classification.

This five-day CME course, the HMS Asia-Pacific Neuro-Oncology Conference, is designed to provide an international audience with a comprehensive review of the diagnosis and management of adult and pediatric patients with primary and metastatic brain and spinal cord tumors and neurologic complications of cancer.

Target audience will be the health care specialists involved in the care of adult and pediatric neuro-oncology patients (oncologists, radiation oncologists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuroradiologists and neuropathologists).

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the role of biomarkers in the diagnosis of adult and pediatric CNS tumors
  • Identify standard and novel treatment approaches to adult and pediatric CNS tumors
  • Recognize and address neurological complications associated with new cancer therapies
  • Discuss the role of palliative and supportive care in neuro-oncology
