Clinical research grant

The Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS) has opened its 2026 call for applications for the Laura Feltri Training Grant Program, with a submission deadline of 5 January 2026.

Aligned with its mission to nurture the next generation of researchers in peripheral nerve fields, PNS now plans to award up to three (3) new two-year training grants to promising junior investigators.

What’s New in 2026

For the first time, recipients may carry out their project under the supervision of a PNS Member at their current home institution—applicants are no longer required to move to a different institution.  PNS hopes that this flexibility will increase accessibility of the training grants to junior investigators around the globe.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility is open to:

  1. Junior clinical investigators who wish to gain or consolidate expertise in clinical observational studies, outcomes measurement, and/or clinical diagnostic/therapeutic development
  2. Junior scientists or clinician scientists looking  to develop expertise and knowledge in peripheral nerve research by answering key questions in Schwann cell/axonal biology and/or by elucidating relevant disease pathomechanisms.
