The WFN has created Internships for young Neurologists to work with the WFN. This is voluntary work under the supervision of a WFN trustee as a mentor, and will create opportunities to learn about the work of the WFN, and on the other hand will help the WFN in organizational matters.
The first WFN intern is Dr Ksenia Pochigaeva*, from Moscow, and she will be mentored and supervised by our trustee Prof. Alla Guekht. As the WFN intern, she will be assisting the WFN trustees and office in further enhancing the partnership with the WHO and ECOSOC, focusing on all areas of implementation of the Intersectoral Global Action Plan on Epilepsy and Other Neurological Disorders (IGAP).
We welcome Ksenia as our first WFN intern and look forward to working with her.
| * | Dr. Ksenia Pochigaeva is a neurologist from the Moscow Research and Clinical Center for Neuropsychiatry. She graduated from Moscow State University and upon completing her residency in Neurology is currently finalising her PhD in translational aspects of epilepsy and depression in the Moscow Research and Clinical Center for Neuropsychiatry. Dr. Pochigaeva was involved, initially as a volunteer and then as a junior member of the local organizing committee of the international teaching courses and conferences. She participated in several international teaching courses on various aspects of neurology in Cyprus, Romania, Latvia, Israel and other countries. |
