Dr. Caterina Pistarini

Caterina Pistarini is a Director of Scientific Rehabilitation Institute Salvatore Maugeri Genua-Italy . Titled by National Ministry of University as Qualified Professor of Neurology , Past President of Italian Society of Neurorehabilitation(SIRN) ,member of Presidium of European Federation of Neurehabilitation (EFNR) and General Secretary of the World Federation for NeuroRehabilitation (WFNR).

She has technical skills and competences about definition and organizational protocols of care for traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and for stroke patients. She also has been member of National Health Committees for the definition of National guidelines for taking charge of patients with neurological disabilities.

She is an associate editor of  international journal”FunctionalNeurology”’. She authored about 200 peer-reviewed articles and 10 book chapters.

She  is a member of National Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine  of Italy (SIMFER)  and board of directors for several National and International   Societies.
