Frederick Andermann OC OQ FRCPC was a prominent Canadian neurologist, best known for his pioneering research on epilepsy. He served as a Professor and later Professor Emeritus in the Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Pediatrics at McGill University. Together with his wife, Eva, he helped identify Andermann syndrome, a rare neurodegenerative genetic disorder. In 2006, he was honored as an Officer of the Order of Canada. Following his passing, McGill University recognized him as one of Canada’s most distinguished neurologists.
