BrazilRio de Janeiro Selected to Host the XXX (30th) World Congress of Neurology in 2029

The World Federation of Neurology (WFN) has named Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as the host city for the XXX (30th) World Congress of Neurology (WCN) in 2029. The event will be hosted by the Brazilian Academy of Neurology.

The decision followed an evaluation by the WFN Permanent Congress Committee, which reviewed multiple regional bids from across the Americas. The Brazilian Academy of Neurology won the host position after securing the majority vote from the WFN Council of Delegates among the four final host bid candidates.

The WFN congratulates the host society and look forward to working with them on building an exciting programme for WCN 2029.

The WFN expressed gratitude to all candidates and applicants for their dedication and continued engagement with the organization, and to all other applicants for their interest in the WFN.
