Brain Health Without Borders

The second meeting of the International Alliance on Brain Health (IABH), held in Buenos Aires under the patronage of the World Federation of Neurology (WFN) and the World Psychiatric Association (WPA), convened an international multidisciplinary forum to address brain health as a defining medical, economic, and societal challenge of the 21st century.

The gathering emphasized breaking down conventional barriers between neurology and psychiatry to foster a unified, preventive approach to lifelong cognitive and mental well-being, exploring themes such as the link between vascular and brain health, sleep regulation, and the integration of artificial intelligence and digital biomarkers. Highlighting reciprocal learning and reverse innovation between high- and lower-income regions, the meeting concluded with ten implementation strategies to embed brain health into policy, education, and clinical care, setting the stage for future collaborative projects and upcoming alliance meetings in Rome and Singapore.
