GBD: History, Sources, Methodology And General Findings

Maja Pasovic

Maja Pasovic works as the Engagement Officer for Europe at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), where she manages collaborations and partnerships with public health institutions across the European Region. In this role, she works closely with decision-makers, researchers and the scientific community to help guide improved health interventions and population health outcomes in the region.

Prior to joining IHME, Ms. Pasovic worked for the National Alliance for Caregiving (Washington D.C.) and UNICEF Country Office in Bosnia-Herzegovina. She earned her M.Ed. at the University of Sarajevo and an MA at the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Ms Pasovic has co-authored a number of scientific studies relating to persons with disabilities and with chronic diseases, GBD-specific studies and several studies on COVID-19 modeling and forecasting.
