Neurologic infections are global phenomena that pose a challenge for diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. The Covid-19 pandemic, which had taken the world by storm is now over. However, there are many reports of post-acute sequelae of Covid 19 (PASC) or long Covid affecting central and peripheral nervous system due to possible viral antigen persistence. Covid 19 pandemic has provided learning opportunities to build a healthier tomorrow.

A global outbreak of Mpox (formerly known as Money Pox) began in May 2022 and on 14 th August 2024, World Health Organization (WHO) Director General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus declared mpox  outbreak a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC). New spurts in cases of meningitis and encephalitis keep occurring.  We will   include information about emerging neurologic infections under this web page. With change in environment and migration, neurologic infections remain a big public health concern for everyone.

We aim to provide peer reviewed information through this website with pertinent timely updates highlighting new developments. We will appreciate your suggestions*.
