WFN Awards

 

Every two years in the leadup to the World Congress of Neurology, the WFN calls for nominations from member societies for suitable recipients of two WFN medals recognising Service to International Neurology and Scientific Achievement in Neurology, as well as the Ted Munsat Award.

It is our pleasure to announce the call for nominations for the prestigious WFN medals/awards for 2025. We invite all member societies to nominate suitable persons. There are 3 awards where suitable persons (*) can be nominated

Service to International Neurology

Service to Neurology on an international and global level. [Criteria]

Scientific Achievement in Neurology

Scientific achievement and projects, which have global impact and innovation. [Criteria]

Ted Munsat Award

An award dedicated to service in neurological education, named after Ted Munsat, and cosponsored by the AAN and WFN. [Criteria]

 


Process

  • Nominations can be made by WFN member societies or by individual members of a WFN member society. 
  • All suggestions will be collected and discussed with the WFN trustees, who will make their final decision.
  • The medals will be awarded during the 2025 World Congress of Neurology in Seoul, South Korea in an official ceremony.
