Welcome to the new edition of the WFN service pages. We are glad to have had the opportunity to hold the Council of Delegates (COD) meeting in September 2024 in London, which was also attended live by the trustees and co-opted trustees.
The main messages that were announced at the COD meeting are: a new member for the WFN (Ghana, member #125), and the election of Prof. Tissa Wijeratne, from Sri Lanka, as a new trustee to replace Prof. Alla Guekht, who successfully completed her two terms as a trustee. We would like to acknowledge Prof. Guekht's important role in promoting our global activities with the WHO and United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), and she will be continuing as the co-chair of the International Affairs committee.
