On January 20th-24th, 2025, the World Federation of Neurology attended the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, and the launch of The Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative (DAC) Brain House.
Over three days at Davos, DAC introduced the first-ever Brain House, a collaborative hub of brain health stakeholders from diverse sectors and geographies, sharing in discussions highlighting the critical link between brain health and global challenges, and expanding this pursuit beyond the halls of academia and medicine, centering it in the world of capital markets and innovation needed to create a healthier, more resilient, and a more productive future.
Panel discussions included Unlocking Global South Potential: Building Economic Resilience Through Brain Health, featuring experts from the WHO Foundation, Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, Wellcome Trust, and Aga Khan University Brain and Mind Institute. Other dynamic sessions brought together leaders in neurotechnology, neuroscience, venture capital, and academia as The Brain House hosted daily conversations on topics like the brain’s connection to climate change and population aging.
