Disorders of motivation – including apathy, anhedonia and impulsivity – are common across neurological conditions, particularly neurodegenerative diseases. They have a huge impact on patients and caregivers and are associated with worse prognosis. This session will consider new developments in understanding the mechanisms underlying these disorders and recent clinical trials for apathy.
