Essential Brain Anatomy Neuropathology website

Essential Brain Anatomy & Neuropathology (EBA&N) is the teaching website of the International Society of Neuropathology. The neurohistology and neuropathology website is hosted by the Laboratory of Neuropathology (LONP) of Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science.

In recent years, more than 5,000 sets of human autopsied brain slides with a wide range of human neurological diseases have been scanned with virtual slide instruments, including brain cutting videos.

The coordinator of the digital neuropathology website is Dr. Nobutaka Arai, Chairman of the Committee for Neuropathology Education of the Japanese Society of Neuropathology.

The website contents comprise illustrative movies and digital slides for web microscopy, accompanied by educational text. The material is well selected and compliant with international Neuropathology standards, and can be used for educational purposes.
